Terms & Conditions
Last updated: August 25, 2026
These terms govern access to and use of Xwedoc, a digital vault service that lets you store, organize, and share documents within Family or Organization spaces, as well as the billing rules applicable to those spaces. Using the service implies full acceptance of these terms.
Service publisher: Gouré Bi Bikoré Marc Samuel, sole trader (SIREN 103 719 738), 3 rue des Sources, 91400 Orsay, France. See full details in our legal notice.
1. Definitions
- Service: the Xwedoc application, accessible via the web or a native mobile app.
- Space: a walled-off environment (a family or an organization) with its own members, documents, and plan.
- Owner: the member who created the space, or to whom ownership has been transferred.
- Member: any person invited into a space by its owner or by another member with invite rights.
- Content: any document, file, description, or information uploaded to the Service.
2. Access to the service and account creation
- Creating an account requires a valid email address and a password. The user agrees to provide accurate and up-to-date information.
- A user can be the owner and/or a member of several spaces at once with a single account.
- Xwedoc does not create a standalone user account for a minor; documents concerning a child are managed by a parent or legal guardian who holds the account.
- The user is responsible for keeping their password confidential and for any activity carried out from their account.
3. Content uploaded by the user
The user is solely responsible for the documents and information they upload to the Service. They warrant that they hold the necessary rights over any content uploaded and agree not to upload unlawful, fraudulent content, or content that infringes a third party's rights.
The user retains all rights over the documents they upload; uploading them to the Service does not transfer any rights to Xwedoc.
4. Sharing and access control
The Service lets a user precisely control who, among the members of their space, can view, edit, or have limited access to each of their documents. By default, a document is only visible to the person who added it and the space owner.
5. Legacy and ownership transfer
The owner of a space can transfer that status to another member at any time, while alive.Xwedoc does not replace legal inheritance procedures and is neither a will nor an instrument of estate devolution: the Service facilitates the organization and preservation of documents, it does not substitute for any legal obligation regarding the transfer of an estate.
6. Plans and billing
Available plans, their prices, and their quotas are detailed on our pricing page, kept up to date. The following rules apply to billing:
- Each space has a single, indivisible subscription, tied exclusively to its owner: they alone are responsible for payment, other members bear no cost.
- A space's document and storage quotas are pooled among all its members, not allocated individually.
- Transferring ownership of a space automatically transfers billing responsibility to the new owner.
- The same account can own or join several spaces: each space is billed separately, with no account-wide bundled billing.
- The owner can change plans at any time, provided quotas already in use remain compatible with the new plan.
Current status: no real payment system is connected to the app to date. Plan changes are functional for demonstration purposes and do not result in any real charge until online payment is activated for your market.
7. Service availability
The publisher strives to ensure access to the Service under the best conditions, without guaranteeing continuous availability. Interruptions may occur for maintenance, updates, or force majeure. As the app is under active development, some features may change.
8. Suspension and termination
- The user can delete their account at any time from the app.
- The publisher reserves the right to suspend or terminate a user's access in the event of a serious breach of these terms, in particular the reported and verified upload of unlawful content.
- Terminating an owner's account does not automatically affect other members of a shared space; the ownership transfer rules (Article 5) apply.
9. Liability
Xwedoc implements the measures described in its privacy policy to protect users' data and documents. Its liability cannot be engaged for damage resulting from improper use of the Service, a user's negligence in protecting their credentials, or a case of force majeure.
10. Governing law
As Xwedoc serves users located in Côte d'Ivoire, France, Canada, Belgium, and the United States, the choice of governing law and competent jurisdiction is determined based on the user's country of residence and applicable local consumer protection rules.
11. Changes
These terms may be amended to reflect the evolution of the Service or legal obligations. Any substantial change will be communicated before it takes effect.
